My name is Wanda and I am a passionate cat & dog lover.
Emerald Crow is a small cattery specializing in raising Maine Coon cats. We are located in a High Desert of New Mexico. Our cats participate in our lives and they are a part of our family!
We are registered with TICA. All our cats and kittens are a pure breed Maine Coons, from Champion Lines. They are affectionate, amazing and loving companions.
We are committed to provide a happy and healthy environment for our beloved buddies.
Growing up in my parent’s home, I wasn’t allowed to have a cat or a dog.
When I was taking care of my own family, I fell in love with Russian Blue’s.
My children enjoyed taking care of them. We were also raising Singapura’s. My daughter and son shared with me, that the most treasured memories from their childhood are related to our cats and kittens.
Lately my son discovered how unique and different Maine Coons are. His new interest was contagious, and I fell in love again. I became absolutely fascinated with Maine Coons. Their intelligence, curiosity, and friendliness is unique. I love when my cats are hanging out and watch me washing dishes, watering plants and how they come to us to snuggle. They are very close with one another and they befriended and embraced our dog, Chewy.
My husband and I feel fortunate, having our sweet cat companions in our lives. I am hoping you will also open your heart and brighten up every day with a Maine Coon on your side.
About Maine Coon Breed
The Main Coon is known for exceptional personality dispositions and distinctive size and features. They are large domesticated cats and considered as the oldest natural breeds. Maine Coons are officially recognized as a state cat of Maine.
The coat is medium long and thick, the tail is long, bushy and stunning. They have impressive tufts on ears and paws and a striking ruff along the chest.
They adopted well to harsh, merciless winters, their large feet help with moving around on snow.
Maine Coon cats are extremely friendly, affectionate and gentle. They love to participate in daily routines, and they greet with sweet gentle chirping, trilling and twittering sounds.
Traits such as playfulness, intelligence and friendliness are ranking on the highest scale among other feline breeds. They make a wonderful addition to your family. They maintain comfortable around children and they get along with placid dogs. They are affectionate but also independent.
The mature size is reached between 3-5 years of age and an adult males can weigh from 16 to 22lb, while females from 12 to 15 lb.
Maine Conns are trainable, intelligent, perceptive and inquisitive.
